About

About Billy Bakes Bread

Billy Burbidge spent 22 years in construction, building homes and subway systems in the Greater Toronto Area, before he moved north to Sudbury and turned to sourdough. He bakes in Good Grab Catering's certified kitchen on Kelly Lake Road, and his partner Jody Nadjiwon runs the marketing and the market table.

You can find the bread at the Sudbury Market on Saturdays, Triple Star Acre Farm, D&A Fine Meats and Amici Food + Beverage, and on the menu at Perk & Pine Cafe and The Wishing Tree Cafe at Kivi Park. Sudbury.com profiled the bakery in 2025.

“Baking bread is easier on the body. Now it's my mind staying alert and doing much of the work.”
